Subcontracting process with Engineering to order product

Hi Experts,

 

I am working on subcontracting process and subcontracting product is engineering to order in APO PPDS.

 

 

For example,

 

We have a product "TANK", which is configurable and manufactured at subcontractor location. The TANK's components are designed and varies according to sales order similar to engineering to order. We create order BOM for TANK for each sales order.

 

 

Example:

 

order BOM 1

 

TANK - Header

 

Flanged ball valve - Component

 

order BOM 2:

TANK - Header

Flanged butterfly valve - Component

 

Can you please let me know steps to create subcontracting process through order BOM.

 

In standard subcontract process, material BOM is maintained in production version, which is maintained in material master and subcontracting inforecord. Then PV and PIR are transferred to APO to created PDS at subcontracting location.

 

But there is no option create PDS at subcontracting location through order BOM.  We try to create PDS through curto_create_focus, but PDS is created at our location, not at subcontracting location.


Kindly let me know how to create PDS at subcontracting location thorugh order BOM.

Activate immediate change transfer of Z-table values from ECC to table /SAPAPO/MATLOC in APO

Hi,

 

I have some plant specific material values stored in Z-table in ECC.

 

How to activate immediate change transfer of these Z-table values from ECC to table /SAPAPO/MATLOC in APO?

 

Is message type CIFMAT (Transaction: BD52) relevant for these? If yes, how?

RRP4 is not feasible unless we run it 50 times and stitch together.

Can we change the confirmed quantity of the sales order in this transaction code under "ATP" tab?

Custom fields in table /SAPAPO/SDFIELD

Hi,

 

 

 

We have requirement in which the custom fields of order are ciffed from ECC to APO.

So we are able to see the same in table /SAPAPO/SDFIELD.But the same is not moved to the standard order tables available in APO.

 

As a result we are not able to use the order data from the table /SAPAPO/SDFIELD in the requirement.

 

Can you please let us know if we can directly use the data avaialble in the table /SAPAPO/SDFIELD or any way we can move the data from table /SAPAPO/SDFIELD to the standard tables of APO.

 

Also The Customer Group values maintained for the Order are shown in ECC but are not shown along with the order data in /SAPAPO/SALES tables.

Is there a way to update the values directly to the /SAPAPO/SALES table.

 

 

Please help out in finding the same.

1) MANUAL WITH CHECK

2) MANUAL WITHOUT CHECK

 

 

1)what is difference between them

2) If there is no stocks for requirement then what is there  ACTION

CTP with Block planning...impact of ATP Buckets

Gurus,

We are prototyping CTP with Block planning in PP/DS. What role does the ATP bucket play in this scenario? We are working with SAP delivered buckets only and have not changed it. There are 2 entries, one with no Bucket ID and one with 01 Bucket ID. Both have exactly the same values. I checked the checking groups and they have a blank value for the Bucket ID field. Does ie mean the system is not using ATP Buckets or it is using the Bucket with Blank .

Tank planning

Dear all,

 

I have the following scenario.

 

A semi finished product is produced, and stored in a tank/silo. The goods receipt is done to store it in the tank/silo.

When the tank/silo reaches a certain level it can be packed using a pack to order process order.

 

Can this be done in PP/DS? If so, please explain the solution.

 

Or can this be done in ECC PP-PI module?

How to get fixed pegging information for sales orders?

Hello All:

 

For a set of sales orders, if I run the heuristic SAP_PP_019 - Fix Pegging Heuristics in PP/DS. I want to capture in a report/table the complete pegging information for each sales order similar to the order context that one can get in transaction /SAPAPO/RRP3. Could you please help me with the correct BAPI / Function module to do this with? When I did the internet search, I came across the function module "/SAPAPO/OM_PEGID_GET_IO". Is this the correct one?

 

Basically, if I know the function module that the RRP3 will call when user presses the order context, I will be able to use that. Thanks in advance for your help.

issue with STO

Hi Experts,

 

I have created stock transfer order (plant to plant- same company code i.e Intra-company).

I have stock 100 for the product 55.

Supply Plant is - 1000

Receiving Plant is - 2000

 

When I create the STO the system is doing availability check  (in the plant 1000-supply plant) in APO and confirming the stock 100 to the receiving plant 2000.

 

So in the above case I have stock 100 qty and system has confirmed 100 qty to that STO.

STO order has saved.

 

again,

 

If I create the STO for the product 55, supply plant 1000, receiving plant 2000, for the STO order qty 100

Result is - system is confirming the qty 100 for that SECOND order also.

 

Question - Why system has not showed 'supply shortage' for the same product, same supply plant, same receive plant when I create the STO second time. The system should not show the available qty if I create the STO second time for the same product, supply plant, receive plant.

Why the system is showing available qty for the second STO even the system has confirmed the available stock 100 when I have created the STO first time.

 

 

second scenario-

If I change the customer (receiving Plant 3000) for the same product 55, supplying plant 1000-

Result is - its is also confirming the qty 100 for the customer (receiving plant 3000)

Why?

 

 

Please let me know whey system is confirming the qty second time even the STO is already confirmed at first for the same product, supply plant, receive plant?

 

Why system is confirming the qty second time even changes the receiving plant to 3000, for the same product 55 , same supply plant 1000,

SAP APO PPDS - Resource planned order

Hi experts SAP,

 

I am looking for your help,   in APO we are using PDS with alternative modes, we activated the BADI  CUSLNTRTO_ADDIN because we need that every PDS has different modes (each mode is one version in R/3) for the scheduling. With this we are looking that the PPDS Optimizer considers all alternative resources.

 

The problem that we are facing is the following:

When we populate manually a planned order with the transaction /SAPAPO/RRP3 for a product with several PDS and we select one of them, the system records the planned order with the PDS that we selected, but with the resource that has the best priority, sometimes the resource with the best priority is different to the resource of the PDS

 

Due to the previous situation the planned order is reported in different resources:

   - In APO (RRP3) in the resource assigned for the system (with the best priority)

   - In R/3 (CM01) in the resource of the PDS

 

How can I get both or one of the following points?

  - The transaction RRP3 selects the resource of the selected PDS and no the resource with the best priority

  - In R/3 the transaction CM01 reports the planned order in the resource assigned to the order and no in the resource of the production version

Characteristic Combinations for Collective Product allocations are not created

Hello,

 

we are going to implement Product allocations in our SCM 7.0 system. Customizing is done, characteristic combinations are created and everything is working so far.

Now I would like to create characteristics for collective product allocations. I have maintained the wildcard in the Product Allocation Group and run /SAPAPO/ATPQ_COLLECT. But I get always the message

In below output we have to add additional functionality to drag the B/90 block to another resource.

 

  currently whith in the same resource we can drag B/90.


i have no idea how to do this can any one help me.

Closing gaps on the schedule

Hi Experts,

 

When Sales Orders are placed in the system, we execute the CTP process & have planned orders created immediately, using the Backward+Reverse planning direction. The planned orders are scheduled finitely on the resource &  are created to meet their requirement dates at the earliest available time.

We want to be able to execute a function on the Planning board & "close the open gaps" on the schedule, that get left on there otherwise. Example, for the next month's schedule, we would not like any gaps on the schedule. We know that multiple orders could be drag/dropped on the planning board to achieve this, however, is there no automated way to get this done?

 

I tried the "Squeeze operation & Close gap" but that's not exactly what we want. We are looking to close gaps on the schedule for a month from the current time.

 

Any clue on how this could be achieved?

APO PPDS Horizon change

Hi Gurus!

 

Small query on PPDS horizon, Is it possible to change PPDS horizon based on Plant.

 

Can  we maintain PPDS Horizon other than /sapapo/mvm and master data for plant level..

 

My requirement as follows.

 

As of now PPDS horizon configured for 180 days for all plants in /sapapo/mvm .. But we need to change it to 300days for a specific plant. How can i achieve it without distributing remaining plant horizon.

 

 

Kindly suggest your valuable thoughts.

Sales Orders for a particular ship-to-party are not visible in /SAPAPO/VS01

Hi Experts,

 

I have an isseu in the client application, needed your guidance as to what I can look for:

 

Issue:

 

The sales order of a particular ship-to-party are not visible in /SAPAPO/VS01 t-code, for lad building, since few weeks.

Though the orders are visible in t-code /n/sapapo/sdorder_display.

Due to this issue business is unable to plan shipment in APO, they have to manually build the shipment in ECC.

 

Kindly provide some guidance, as what might be the cause of the issue.

FM for pegging relationship

Hello all,

 

We need to develop a customized report in APO that shows the demand element with pegging relationships with a production order.

In our business scenario, the sales orders are created in a location type distribution center and planned and production orders are created in a location type production plant. To do this, the MRP heuristics create purchase requisition to request the material from production plant to distribution center.

So, our intention is to find a sales order in the distribution center u201Cpeggedu201D to the production order in the production plant.

This information is similar to the data showed by the Order Context function of transaction /SAPAPO/RRP3.

 

We have developed a Z Function that uses BAPIs below:

 

BAPI_MOSRVAPS_GETLIST2 u2013 to get pegging data in table  PEGGING_OUTPUT_NODES

BAPI_POSRVAPS_GETLIST3 u2013 to get pegging data of purchase requisition

BAPI_SLSRVAPS_GETLIST2 u2013 to finally get sales order information

 

The logic is more complex when we have dependent demand, because we have to call the BAPI_MOSRVAPS_GETLIST2 more than once until find the related purchase requisition.

 

The Z Function works fine but the performance is very poor mainly because we have different location.

 

Our question: is there a standard function module that shows the pegging relationship across the entire chain?

 

We have also tried the EFPL_ORD_NET_GET but we were not able to find which parameters should we use and how to input it correctly . We didnu2019t find documentation about it.

 

Can you help us?

What are some function modules that can update live cache data?

Hello All,

What we would like to do is to take the forecast orders from orders based live cache and add a custom field to one of the unused fields. Most of the live cache related transactions posted in SCN related forums are "read" transactions.

 

 

Could you please share your knowledge on "write" function modules that can change data in live cache? For example, suppose that we want to get the order data with the function module "/SAPAPO/OM_ORDER_GET_DATA" and then take a field in the forecast object (that is, a single record in RRP3 with ATP category FA) and push into an unused field of the forecast object a priority value which in our case is Char(14) and is of the format YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.

 

 

Questions:

1. Please share any function modules that can update live cache data - especially the forecast object.

2. Would you have any information on Sql Studio for live cache? How does it work and can it do what we are trying to do?
