Char based ATP check for stock

Hi,

Two queries related to char based ATP check (its MTS)--

1. Char based ATP check scenario is configured. The ATP check based on char is taking place correctly. System is creating sub-items for different char valuations based on search. But the batch numbers are not getting copied in the sub-items. Is this a standard behavior ?

If this is std behavior then whats the significance of batch numbers at the time of sales order creation? or the batchs are relevant only during delivery creation in this scenario?

2. Further to this, when I am trying to create delivery following error message is coming...

'Product selection sub-item coipied without main item'.
