Q1) Say we want to change the whole sales order delivery priority can we do that , i mean instead of effecting all the sales order of a particular customer can we just change the delivery priority of a whole sales order .

Hi,
I have created couple of simulation versions in planning board to check the feasibility of orders and have created in a different names.
But when I do a planning in plant, my simulation versions are getting over written by the active versions.
Means after that both my active real version and simulation verison looks same (simulation version data is replaced with active data).
Please let me know the reason and how we can restrict it.

We can take resource utilization individually from planning board using evaluations.
But is it possible to see the resource utilization for a set of resources means how the operations are loaded and utilization for a group of resources and to see the highest utilized resource from that.

We have a scenario, where we are creating Multiple Production versions which CIF to APO with Multiple PDS. In multiple PV different work centers & different BOM has been assigned… We want to do Capacity planning for all Source of Supply.
I see only option is to use SAP_REM heuristic…But we don’t want to use this heuristic, as it is having lots of restriction…
I have tried with SAP PP heuristic for creating planned orders, and then doing capacity planning using SAP_DS_02…Enhanced Backward scheduling & SAP_DS_01 Stable Forward Scheduling … But it is still doesn't select the alternative source of supply…
Is there any heuristic, or running multiple sequence of heuristic which can plan on multiple PDS for capacity leveling …..

I try to immerse myself into Model mix planning in APO for automotive industry. I have a few questions.
1. can product structure and process structure be mapped using classical PP BOM and routing in SAP ECC system? If yes, a normal production version can be used and somehow linked to iPPE??
2. Can the iPPE be created in APO directly or it should be created in ECC and transferred to APO? My understanding is that we create iPPE in ECC and transfer it to APO to create a PDS out of it....
3. If no variants are used in ECC but just configurable materials should I maintain a dummy product structure header = dummy bom and a dummy routing header in iPPE object to maintain a consistency of iPPE structure? If yes, should this be done in ECC or in APO? Does that make sense / is reasonable?
4. can a dummy product structure (BOM) be maintained in APO iPPE object directly so that the iPPE structure is consistent or should this be done in ECC?
5. In our case only a structure node in iPPE is plan to be maintained for the finished product, under structure node a dummy component variant is plan to be maintained. A question here is that if I understand it right, we maintain the structure in iPPE directly. but what if it is planned to use a classical PP- BOM? will we then maintain both iPPE structure and a PP-BOM?? this does not make much sense to me as a beginner in Model Mix Planning in APO...
6. Can the iPPE object only have a dummy BOM and a dummy routing?
7. In our case it is planned that the line design will be carried out in SAP PLM and transfered to SAP APO = will create a line structure within iPPE in APO. I thought that if PLM is used, the line structure would be sent to ECC via Interface to create / update iPPE in ECC due to the fact the the iPPE should be maintained in ECC and just transferred to APO??/
8. How much sens makes usage of Model Mix Planning in APO if only the finished product is planned in APO and all the components in ECC using MRP?
do we need then iPPE or can we just use PP-BOM and PP-Routing = production version and make a PDS on APO side out of it?.
9.If we classify the final products into product families could we maintain takt times / production rates at final product family level (each product family is allocated to a line) .
10. It is planned that the APO iPPE will not have detailed process structure. A detailed routing should be created in ECC. A dummy routing header will be maintained in SAP APO iPPE object. Under dummy header a dummy resource will be assigned. This is to keep / maintain the consistency of the iPPE object. so much the theory... my question is if this make sense and if this will not create errors while generating PDS?
I am aware of so many questions and I did try to put them "on paper" so it is understandible...which menas that I would be happy about any good comment or hint or link that helps me to answer my questions / doubts.. thank you in advance!

When ever we run PPDS Shelf life planning run we see that some order are not pegging at all.
If the req qty is today and receipt is created for tomorrow still a new requirement is created after the planning time fence.
When we run normal heuristics it works perfectly fine. Issue is happening only if we select Shelf life planning.
Please find the example below. When i use 00_002 works perfectly fine. We get issue only when we run shelf life heuristic .
Please suggest.

Dear Experts,
I have an issue with the SAP_PP_020 heuristic. The problem is that the LLC is not calculated for the components that are externally procured.
The components are included in a PDS for the FG. They do not have a source of supply (the info record is not CIF-ed at the moment).
The SAP_PP_020 heuristic is returning the following message: "No supply sources were found for the model 000".
My question is: Is it necessary to have a source of supply for the component? What workaround do you propose?

he wants to go for Gatp
IS it now feasible to have it independet of APO my be on Hana ?

I am running BOP, I do see that once BOP job is complete, CIF queues get created.
I can see sales order CIF queues in ECC I/B ( I have blocked ECC I/B to check the queue content), but I observed that there are no TQAs in /SAPAPO/AC06 for my BOP.
I know when BOP runs it creates TQAs, then queues are sent over to ECC, once sales orders are updated queues come back to APO and update APO database and delete the TQAs. In the scenario I have mentioned my CIF queues are not yet processed and they are present in ECC I/B but still I don't see TQAs in APO.
Can anyone help me if they faced similar situation in the past, or if there is any setting which I might be missing.

Is possible in GATP to check on a specific batch characteristic?
For example:
Sales order: Customer request SKU A (1000KG) with quality profile with a specific characteristic e.g. Water content need to be between 110 and 130 ppm.
Production manufacture the SKU A with quality profile Water content between 80 and 160. Production is completed and goods are on hand.
Stock on hand of the SKU A
250 KG Batch 1 -> Water content 85 ppm
250 KG Batch 2 -> Water content 120 ppm
250 KG Batch 3 -> Water content 140 ppm
250 KG Batch 4 -> Water content 115 ppm
250 KG Batch 5 -> Water content 122 ppm
250 KG Batch 6 -> Water content 117 ppm
Is it possible that GATP runs this check on order entry ?
1000 KG SKU A required, GATP is searching and finds 250KG batch 2, 250KG batch 4, 250KG batch 5, 250KG batch 6.
Does standard GATP provide this functionality ? If yes, how does it support this business process ?

just to raise this question to gain your experince.
Sales order is created and due to less stock confirmed against CTP element outside checking horizon. During the night BOP deletes the confirmation.
The Setting for the ATP check control is set to end of check without confirmation at checking horizon.
Any idea why BOP deletes the confirmation? I thought this should be ignored and the confirmation remains.

Read somewhere that in EHP3, SAP APO will come along with ERP package. How will this help the businesses, is SAP SCM not required at all? Will SAP ERP package alone suffice, if they want to have basic level planning?

Current scenario:
We have a customized process for Sales Orders where in workflow is triggered right after initial creation/change of a Sales Order (using user WFBATCH). This process ensures that the significant parameters of the SO is populated with custom values such as Partners etc...
Issue:
It has come to our attention that Sales Orders which are intended to be Unconfirmed (removal of confirmation) are rescheduled then are CONFIRMED right after WFBATCH updates the Sales Order.
Question:
Where can I restrict APO ATP check to happen if the user is WFBATCH? Is SAPMV45A Include relevant in this case?
